Our Model

At Cincinnati Functional Neurology, our model is centered around delivering personalized care through our highly experienced and dedicated team. We prioritize longer appointments to thoroughly acquaint ourselves with you, comprehend your health concerns, and offer personalized recommendations encompassing lifestyle, nutrition, supplements, and medications.

We genuinely value the time spent with each patient as it significantly contributes to achieving optimal results. Your first visit typically requires 60 to 70 minutes, while follow-up appointments are allotted 30 minutes.

  • It's essential to note that our practice operates on a direct pay model, meaning we do not accept insurance. However, upon request, we can provide a superbill detailing your visit and charges. You have the option to submit these out-of-pocket expenses to your insurance company for potential reimbursement under Out-of-Network benefits (please consult your insurance provider for guidance on this).

  • For your convenience, Health Spending Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) may be used to cover the costs of your doctor visits and laboratory testing. Be sure to check with your insurance plan to explore the suitability of this option.

  • Initial Consultation: 60 to 70 minutes - $375

    Follow-up Visits: 30 minutes - $180

    Second Opinion Consultations: 90-120 minutes - $540

    Botox Procedure Visit: This includes benefit verification and authorization process with your insurance provider and the office visit for the procedure. This does not include the cost of Botox medication which is supplied by your insurance company or specialty pharmacy. - $325

    Nerve Block and Trigger Point Injections: Inclusive of medication cost - $275

Meet Dr. Zainab Contractor

Dr. Zainab Contractor, a native of Pakistan, is the founder and CEO of Cincinnati Functional Neurology. Her medical journey began with graduation from medical school, followed by a Neurology residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York, and a subsequent Neurophysiology fellowship at Rush Medical Center in Chicago.

Board certified in Headache Medicine, she has made significant contributions to headache centers in Cincinnati, establishing the Adult Headache Center at Mercy Health System and later the headache center at TriHealth system.

At Cincinnati Functional Neurology, Dr. Contractor combines her knowledge of modern, alternative, and functional medicine to craft personalized treatment plans for each patient. Her dedication to continuous learning is evident through her memberships in esteemed organizations such as the American Academy of Neurology, American Headache Society, and the International Headache Society. Additionally, she pursues ongoing education with the Kharrazian Institute and the Institute of Functional Medicine to enhance her expertise in functional medicine.
